Start By Cleaning Out Leaves and Debris
The best way to start winterizing your pool is by cleaning it out. Start by removing all leaves and debris from the surface of the water with a pool net or vacuum.
Set the Proper Chemical Levels
The first step in preparing your pool for winter is to set the proper chemical levels. If you have a salt water pool, you’ll need to set the chlorine level at 1-3 ppm and the pH level between 7.2 and 7.8.
